Orphan Block Accent Pillow Number One

Like many of us, my resolution for the new year is to complete unfinished projects. During the holidays I was fortunate to have some days off that I could spend at home, which I used to organize my sewing room. I found three half completed pillows that were meant to compliment a quilt that I finished in 2017. I would estimate that each of these projects is more than 50% completed. I am at the stage where I must insert a zipper. I do lots of laundry, so a zipper is a must. This particular pillow includes a black, invisible zipper that I placed directly on the bottom seam. It looks just okay, but likely nobody is really going to look at it closely. The fabric pulls apart a little and the zipper is more visible than I would like. On the next pillow I will make an additional seam to place the zipper near a back edge. I believe this will keep the fabric from separating, so the zipper will be more invisible. Live and learn.
