About Me

I’m Susan, a lifelong creative spirit, natural networker, and creative entrepreneur. After retiring and finding my elder care years behind me, I focused my attention on my sewing business. I make project bags for stitchers, like those who knit and crochet. Additionally, I make accessories for others like tote and cosmetic bags. I’ve sold my creations at craft fairs since 2022 and recently, I’ve begun to market my products online.

I relocated to Chicagoland from Indianapolis in 2024. This was not part of my post-retirement plan. For eighteen years I’d planned to return to metro Phoenix, but a number of  unexpected events led me back to the place I’d left in 1995. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I am not living the 55+ lifestyle I had envisioned. Perhaps that is yet to occur, but I am still exploring possible sunny and warm winter locations to determine if being a snowbird or completely relocating is best for me. I love a cross-country road trip and if I have no one to accompany me, I don’t let that stop me. I continue to visit active 55+ communities, and I must push myself out of my comfort zone to join the activities. It’s a little intimidating to walk into a room and not know a soul, but I’m finding that these active seniors can be quite welcoming.

My intention for establishing this online presence is to share my creative endeavors, my entrepreneurial journey, and my travel adventures with the hope that my experiences may provide something of value to anyone on the same paths as I.
